I am quite proud of my niece, who really is almost too big to call "Little Miss".  Got to do it one more time while I can!  My little niece did a school report on Oregon.  She focused on the idea of the Oregon Trail and her ancestors who came west on it. 

She did it with some help from Mom, Aunt Peggy, and Grandma.  And I think she did a GREAT job!  The pictures are below!  Click on these images to see a bigger version. 

Note that Gearshum and Sarah Caroline Palmer Vanatta are in the front seat!  And that Cecelia Nelson and her brood are riding in the back!  Both families came over at different times. We descend from both of these families, Gearshum being primarily Dutch, Sarah, I think was good old American Melting Pot stock, and Cecelia was straight from Denmark!

Yay to these people for we would not be here without them, yay for them coming west.  Yay for Desirae for taking an interest.  I am so proud that I could be of help, and even prouder of YOU!!
